Following an unauthorized rescue, Head Officer Denijku Zúrhé’s status with the Peace Service is more precarious than ever. Despite this, he and Dekra 9-2-6 are discreetly tasked with uncovering the true intentions of the Imperium before the probationary alliance ends. Along the way, they hear rumors of a means to protect themselves from the Imperium—the cure. And the members of Dekra 9-2-6 are determined to find it.
