The Circle News, Edition #4

JULY 2024
Author Updates
It’s been… awhile.
Things have progressed! And in a direction, that’s for sure. Okay, look. I have a problem. I don’t often feel like I have interesting things to talk about. Which is just SILLY, cuz I’m always doing something.
Speaking of, in between now and the last update, I wrote a new book!

“Making a Man in the Mirror: A Mildly Offensive Guidebook” is a departure from my normal fantasy fare. It’s my take on what I feel is the best starting point in a person’s journey to improve themselves psychologically, delivered in a humorous and somewhat antagonistic manner. I share my own struggles, tell bad jokes, and use nerd wisdom in order to help the reader find a more successful approach to their own lives. Early reviews are quite favorable.
Preorders are now up on Amazon for the eBook, with the hardback being available for purchase on release day, July 15th!
HOWEVER!!!!
Save some money and buy it here, and I’ll throw in the first seven chapters of Book 2 in the Circle of Origin series FOR FREE! A nice little sneak peek of things to come….
ALSO: Another author did an AMAZING video interview with me, and it’s been edited and uploaded to his YouTube Channel. In it, we talk about some of the fan-favorite characters from ‘Sparking the Inferno’ and what may or may not lie in store for our heroes in Book 2. Check it out!

Okay, here’s the thing. Candles are GREAT. However, making and selling candles requires a certain amount of liability and space, and the amount of money I’ve spent just to maintain insurance has made me question whether or not I want to continue selling candles.
SO! For the foreseeable future, all 8oz, dual-wick, soy coconut candles have been reduce from 21.95 down to $12.95, until we run out of the wax to make them!

Wax melts will continue, because people LOVE them, and they don’t require insurance payments to sell.
We are also now offering apparel! Sparking the Inferno t-shirts in two designs, along with a shirt that represents my nutrition club brand, Peak Nutrition! I tried to make sure all the shirts are 100% made in America as well, so you can expect a quality product that supports Americans from start to finish.

Each comes in multiple colors and sizes, so pick your poison. Want to see something specific on a shirt? Shoot me a message and we’ll see if we can’t make it work!
New Project
While work on Book 2 is going strong, I’ve taken on another side project to help me learn how to write large amounts of prose in short periods of time: an episodic LITRPG called ‘Souls of Teravitum’.
THE BLURB
The year is 2035. Overpopulation, increasingly unpredictable weather, and unchecked pollution have driven people indoors, and the psychological effects of being separated from their peers has inspired many to find refuge in online video games. Two years ago, as though somehow predicting the coming need for personal connection and freedom, a relatively obscure software development company called Solace deployed a massively multiplayer online world that allowed people to play together from all over the world. Every major game console, computer, and even various degrees of VR shared the same digital space. The game was a massive success, and within a few short years, Solace had purchased most of their competition and put them to work on improving their creation.
That game is Teravitum.
Now, while the vast majority of players choose to log into the world of Teravitum day in and day out, a young man named Vannin Garrett wasn’t given the same option. As one of few ‘permanent residents’ of the game, he doesn’t know how he got there, how long he’s been there, and he especially doesn’t know how to log out. To him, living in this virtual world is almost indistinguishable from the real world.
That’s what he thinks, at least. He can’t exactly remember. Still, he knows he’s in a game. He knows that nothing he’s experiencing is real. Is a life constructed of lies really worth living, even if it appears as though it’s the only life available to you?
Our story begins just moments before Vannin’s death, and while it won’t be his first, it will take every ounce of strength he possesses to ensure it’s his last…
The Prologue for ‘Souls of Teravitum’ is already up on the Circle of Origin Patreon, and chapters – for the foreseeable future – will be free and available for anyone subscribed to the Patreon.
Peak Nutrition
For the past decade or so, I’ve been helping people get healthy, lose weight, put on muscle, and just generally assist them in finding more personal fulfillment in life. About six months ago, I left my long-term bar-tending job and returned to ‘wellness coaching’ full-time, returning as co-owner of one of the longest running nutrition clubs in the state of Oklahoma – Peak Nutrition. With this newfound focus on health, and the freedom of being my own boss, I’ve managed to drop nearly 20lbs of fat, put on some muscle in the process, get more writing done, and generally improve my own physical and mental health.
If you or someone you know is in need of a positive change in their life, feel free to hit me up! A conversation will cost you nothing, and who knows? Maybe I can be of some use!
