Author Updates
On October 1st, the ‘Sparking the Inferno‘ eBook enjoyed a world-wide release, with the paperback version following just a few days later on October 4th. The response has been phenomenal, with a number of 5 star ratings and rave reviews being posted within a few days of coming out.
I currently have a back log on the Stragus Mercantile website for signed copies, as while I ordered 200 physical copies for my personal stock on the morning of the 4th, Amazon informed me it would take roughly two weeks for them to print, bind, box, and ship them to my home. Luckily, it seems most people don’t care, and are happy to wait.
I’ve also started a YouTube channel where I have begun doing professionally recorded readings of various indie books. Some will likely only be snippets, but many will get the full treatment in time, with the hope that interested listeners will go buy that author’s book and show their support.
Like everything on YouTube, the best way to show your support of ME, is to LIKE a video, SUBSCRIBE to the channel, and just put the videos on in the background and have a thorough listen. Eventually, YouTube will monetize my efforts and I will be able to work less hours at my main job and spend more time writing and supporting my community.
HOWEVER.

Indie Readings Series
We’ve started a new effort on YouTube I’m tentatively calling the ‘Indie Readings Series’. As Indie authors, we don’t always have the available capital necessary to adequate market, edit, and master our novels in various forms. For many, recording an audio version is the last thing on their mind, with a 60k word book costing somewhere north of $3,000 dollars for proper narration and formatting. ‘Sparking the Inferno’, at around 195k words would cost me about $10k to record!
I have the means and environment to do it myself, but not everyone does. With my Indie Readings Series, I will read indie novels and add them one chapter at a time to the Circle of Origin YouTube in the hopes of growing the channel, growing interest in the author, and eventually gifting the finished files to the author in question. Go check it out, and subscribe and listen to a few. It will really help the effort!
I’m currently reading through a dark fantasy novel called Yamay: Elementas Book 1, but more will follow, my book included!
