Welcome to the Circle of Origin Blog!
Thank you for stopping by what is most likely a bare-bones, unimpressive blog page, and taking the time to read this rather uninteresting Welcome blog. My name is Brandon Carter, and I am the soon-to-be author of Sparking the Inferno, a high fantasy novel designed to be the first entry into the sprawling Circle of Origin series.
As a writer and the creator of this website, I have a number of goals I’d like to accomplish over the next few years. While it is my main goal to eventually publish a successful novel, I’m fully aware that there is no way for that to be possible without YOU, regardless of how much skill I may or may not have as a writer. The self-publishing market is brutal, and populated with a huge number of talented – though largely ignored – hopeful authors. I by no means believe myself to be anything more than average, but it is my hope to find success in the market, not only for myself, but for those of you that deserve to be read and celebrated.
It is with this is mind that I shape this burgeoning community; a gathering of like-minded, driven individuals with the burning desire to grow themselves and assist in the growth of those in their radius. Together, I believe we can help one another achieve more than we could alone. I devote myself fully to the cause of independent authors, and I hope you will as well. I will use this page to connect with other authors, read and review their work, share tips and tribulations, and generally work to elevate our population as a whole. It’s up to us to support and lift one another up. I believe we can do that here.
With all that being said, welcome. Your presence alone is greatly appreciated, but I hope you will choose to comment and interact as well. And, if you are interested in experiencing stories outside the realm of traditional publishing, I encourage you to pay extra attention to the growing Indie Reads tab. I will read as many indie novels as I can afford and have time to consume, and post my thoughts over there.
